I've been reading my friend Hilarie's writing today - it is beautiful and forthright and delicate and fierce, just as she is. It is something amazing, and it is obvious that she has done it for a very long time.
I'm going to set a goal of writing more, uh, writing, rather than the lists and narratives that end up in my notebooks. I used to do that, and then I stopped. And the ones I go back and read, when I can see the colors on the page, and how my mind worked are exactly what I need right now.
I'm going to keep writing in here, of course, it's a different thing, but I'm going to extend my notebook to do more, slowly at first, but I think it's just what I need.
With that, I think I am going to try a new bottle of wine, one by J.Christopher. I've only tried his Pinot Noir until now.
