Walking right down memory lane
Gretchen and I were just talking about the train at Meier & Frank this past Christmas.
As children, part of our holiday traditions were to go to the Portland Nutcracker. Also something that happened every year was going to see the Cinnamon Bear (which reminds me, Gretchen has the cassettes of that radio show, I meant to see if it was available on CD).
But even cooler than the Cinnamon Bear was the train that you rode on the ceiling at Meier & Frank, weaving in and out of departments and rooms, waaaay high up. And I even remember when I finally got to be too tall or too old or something for it, and Mindy and Gretchen still got to go. It was one of those things that would now cause Gretchen to shake her head and tell me I am way too sensitive about everything.
Anyhow, came across a link with pictures, so I will post it here.
