Three days, two of them with tennis.
We had a really full weekend. We met Carrie and Todd out at the High Noon, where we saw the Dirty Shirts and some other bands. I was so completely exhausted from the night before, we had to leave during the third band, even though they were really interesting.
Saturday, we went and bought equipment to play tennis. hehe. I haven't played tennis even once since high school. Fun stuff, even if I nearly killed the poor guy in the court next to me. Right now, we aren't really playing, we are just trying to get back into being able to hit the ball back and forth. Very, very fun.
Tim came out on Saturday night. We went to Jolly Bob's for mojitos and SeaFoams. We ended up leaving before dinner due to extremely poor service - I don't think we'll be back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for anything other than drinks.
Luckly, the Weary Traveler is right across the street, so I continued my strange tradition of taking pictures in the Ladies. Since I had been there three days earlier, they had painted on of the doors with the Virgin Mary on fire, so I had to have a picture of that. This was made more difficult by a young lady who was in there and mostly nude. Strange night.
Sunday, we went on a photo walk to Obrich Gardens. I'll post some pictures from there eventually. Also took a few shows on Regent, but I didn't like most of them.
I'm looking for a bike (I haven't had one in about ten years) so we also did some test drives of that.
And more tennis on Sunday night followed by American Werewolf in London, which I had never seen and really really enjoyed. The Netflix disc was pretty scratched so we didn't get to watch many of the extras, but it was fun watching the ones we could, and holy cow were all the men that made that movie so from the 70s! I also learned that the guy who dies on the subway goes on to play Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi.
