Vampyr Ichabod
I'm never sure how to deal with this...our cats are lovely wonderful animals, and all that.
But Ichabod does this thing, it's like sleepwalking only much worse. They will be sound asleep and Ichabod will pull back and lunge at Moose's throat like a vampire. It's pretty obviously painful to Moose (I most often notice because I hear a strange noise), and Ichabod is definitely asleep still (even though his eyes are open).
Straight for the jugular.
So I'll go over and pull Ichabod away from Moose (sometimes I have to even stick my fingers in his mouth to get his jaw unlocked from Moose's throat) and wake him up and then they go right back to sleep.
It's very regular that this occurs, and I am always baffled by why this happens. I'm not even sure how to seach online for it.
