I like stuff
So I had this night where I was supposed to be meeting Carrie and Todd
at Weary Traveler, so Brian and I said we'd walk down.
Only we go there and there was a wait until tomorrow for
tables because they are doing Community Shares (which I laud)
but all sorts of people are there waiting in line and we don't
have a reservations.
So we go to Brocach and sketch out Hafele Pottery and
hang out and drink Guiness. Well, I drank Sierra Nevada but
still. Figured out what we are doing for the amazing Todd's
website, and ate dinner and called it because two of us were
self-employed, one of us was on vacation, and one of us had to be up for work at 5 a.m. (not me).
So then we finished up and Todd and Carrie were heading home.
Carrie was slightly surprised that we wanted to walk home.
So we left Brocach, hugged Carrie and Todd, started walking
home. It's finally warm out. We are on the square. We walk
home.
Brian and I have been talking about how boring it is to walk
E. Johnny for ten years so I suggested taking E. Wash.
Do you mind if we stop at the Brass Ring? So we do for a Lake
Louie's and a bathroom break.
I need to grab tickets for Saturday, I say, the Kissers will
sell out.
Brian agrees to go see if we can get tickets at the High Noon, and we ask the doorman, can you sell them to us? Ask at the bar, he says, to see if we are selling them in advance (which I am fairly
certain they are).
We get in, and Brian says, "Is this OK Go?" "Huh, I say,
"yeah I think it is" uncertain, only it is, for an invite only
Jack Daniels show.
Yeah, that rocked. Yeah, I saw a band do stuff I would have
paid for, yeah, Amanda would have like them too. Boys, doing
the same cheerleading I did way back when, randomly, cuz I
wandered by, yeah cool.
At the end, I realized that in the notebook I wrote notes
about Todd's website, the only other writing there said, in
all caps, bold pen, "WRITE YOUR GRANDMA" because the last time
I picked up that paticular notebook was to remind myself I
needed to write Grandma June, but I needed a note to recall.
Brian held it up at the end of the song (hawt), and people
streaming out of the Jack Daniel's show said (and thought)
"Write your grandma, yeah, I should..." hmmm....
Getting somewhere, whether or not I think I am.
